DISCUSSION
On Thursday, August 3, 2023 Long Beach Peer Education Community Center will present the WorkWaves Community Job Expo & Career Empowerment for Young Adults And Veterans at Long Beach City College, Pacific Coast Campus. WorkWaves Job Fair supports young adults aged 18-32 who have experienced the foster system, incarceration, and/or veterans who are exploring their passions and career paths. While networking and accruing information, attendees will also have access to community resources such as housing, food sources, mental health, health care, and other necessities and opportunities to thrive.

The Long Beach Suffrage 100 is an active organization that helps educate our community on the history of suffrage in California and the United States. This upcoming July will commemorate 100 years since the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) was first proposed in Congress. As commemoration, the Long Beach Suffrage 100 is hosting a Women’s Fair, July 18, 2023 at Long Beach City Hall Plaza. There will be 16+ information booths about Long Beach groups that are in service to Women & Girls.
