TITLE

Recommendation to receive and file report on travel to Washington, DC, for the first City of Long Beach Federal Legislative Committee trip of 2015.

DISCUSSION

From March 18th - 20th, the Federal Legislative Committee traveled to Washington, DC, as part of a delegation for a City legislative trip.

Along with the Mayor, city staff, and representatives of the Harbor Department and Long Beach Transit, the Committee met with the City's federal legislative delegation, the Department of Transportation, Department of Justice, Department of Labor and the Department of Housing and Urban Development to discuss Long Beach's federal legislative agenda.

FISCAL IMPACT

There is no fiscal impact to file this report.

Approve recommendation.
