TITLE
Assignment Consent Agreement for Line 52 of Facility/Pipeline Permit No.
P-164-88 from ARCO Terminal Services, Inc., to Pacific Pipeline System LLC (Districts 7,8,9)

DISCUSSION
ARC0 Terminal Services, Inc., is requesting consent to assign its interest in Line 52 of Facility/Pipeline Permit No. P-164-88 to Pacific Pipeline System LLC. The 6 5/8-inch line is for fiber optics. The total length of the line is'32,637.89 feet and contains 8-inch, IO-inch and 12-inch casings. The route of the line in City property is shown on the attached vicinity map.

The Department of Public Works has reviewed the assignment and found the existing line to be compatible with existing installations and not an obstacle to any street use or any known proposed developments. There will be no excavation involved as a result of this action. Liability insurance and a bond for faithful performance will be processed following City Council authorization of the consent for assignment.

This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney James N. McCabe on March 18,2004.

SUGGESTED ACTION
Authorize City Manager to execute in accordance with Section 15.44.220, Permit Transfer, of the Long Beach Municipal Code.

Respectfully Submitted,
CHRISTINE F. ANDERSON
