TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $250, offset by the Third Council District One-time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a donation to the Long Beach Camerata Singers for their July 9, 2022 Front Porch Concert; and

Decrease appropriation in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $250, to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

The City of Long Beach supports art and community throughout every neighborhood whether it be a big event or small. Music is a wonderful way of enriching our city and bringing residents together in a positive way. With these goals in mind, it is appropriate for the City of Long Beach to support the Long Beach Camerata Singers’ Front Porch Concert scheduled for July 9, 2022.

This matter has been reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon on June 27, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT

The recommendation requests the City Manager to provide support to the Long Beach Camerata Singers for their July 9, 2022 Front Porch Concert.  The total appropriation increase of $250 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be  offset by a decrease of appropriation of Third Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department.  The requested action is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

SUZIE PRICE COUNCILWOMAN,

THIRD DISTRICT
