DISCUSSION
This is a recommendation to designate the Delker House, located at 153 East 12th Street as a Long Beach Historic Landmark. This recommendation from the Planning Commission was approved by unanimous vote on February 17, 2005 (Attachment I). The Cultural Heritage Commission unanimously recommended this nomination on November 17, 2004. The request for this nomination came from the property owner, who appreciates the unique historical and architectural qualities of the property. It is a two-story Craftsman home built in 1909. The house is well presetved on the exterior and stands out as a visual landmark in the neighborhood. The attached Planning Commission staff report provides additional details and findings that support the nomination. No objections have been raised to this designation. The environmental review was conducted by the Community and Etyironmental Officer,
who determined that this nomination would not have an adverse effect on the environment and issued Categorical Exemption CEP 49-50.
