Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance for the Edward Byrne Memorial
Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) in the amount of $379,577. The grant monies will be
used to support law enforcement programs including overtime required to provide task
forces in response to spikes in violent crime, and a deputy probation officer assigned by
the County of Los Angeles to provide enhanced probation services and focus on gang
suppression activities in the City of Long Beach.
This item was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Richard Anthony and Budget
