TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1,000, offset by the First Council District One-time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a donation to the Long Beach Architecture Week in the amount of $1,000 to support the sponsoring of Absolute Best of Long Beach 2022 Fundraiser event; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $1,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

Councilwoman Mary Zendejas has partnered with the Long Beach Architecture Week, a 501 (c)3 organization to donate to their Absolute Best of Long Beach 2022 Fundraiser. LB Architecture Week provides the opportunity to explore our city, with tours, talks & community events.

This matter was reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon on March 28, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to the Long Beach Architecture Week for the Absolute Best of Long Beach 2022 Fundraiser event. The total appropriation increase of $1,000 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of First Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. The requested action is anticipated to require a  minimal level of staff hours beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and have a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

MARY ZENDEJAS COUNCILWOMAN
