the California Contract Cities Association Conference from
May 17 - 20, 2007.

DISCUSSION
The California Contract Cities Association helps organize and provide a unified voice for many of California's cities and stands for appropriate action and effective handling of the challenges facing California municipalities.

The Association provides both information and a legislative support network that helps member cities better serve their constituents. The organization tracks legislation, puts forth best practices for effective and efficient local government and provides both information and training of both elected officials and city staff.

This year's conference was held at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in the City of Indian Wells. The theme for the conference was "Exploring Emerging Opportunities". Issues discussed at the conference included Affordable Housing, Public Works Liability, Alternative Fuels, Graffiti Abatement, MT A and updates on legislation originating from Sacramento.
