Compromises and Releases
DISCUSSION
Harry Booker has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his i employment with the City of Long Beach.
The Economic Development and Finance Committee, on April 20, 2004 approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of a Compromise and Release in the amount of $40,000.00 as settlement of Harry Booker's claim.
We, therefore, request authority to submit said Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $40,000.00 in compliance with the Appeals Board order.
AND
Mr. Richard Castillo has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.
The Economic Development and Finance Committee, on April 20, 2004, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of a Compromise and Release in the amount of $25,000.00 as settlement of Mr. Castillo's claim.
We, therefore, request authority to submit said Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $25,000.00 in compliance with the Appeals Board order.
