DISCUSSION

I would like to take this opportunity to report to the City Council on the Independent

Cities Association 2006 Annual Seminar July 13- July 16 at the Rancho Bernard0

Inn in San Diego, CA.

Some of the topics addressed during the forum included Housing in the

Southland and Government Ethics in the 21'' century. The list of the speakers

included Supervisor Don Knabe and Executive Director of Livable Places, Ryan

Lehman.

All issues covered in this forum were of benefit to the City of Long Beach and will

ensure that the needs of our city remain foremost with the Independent Cities

Association.
