Angela Reynolds

 

Angela was Deputy Director of Development Services for the City of Long Beach until her recent retirement. She started her Planning career in the City of West Hollywood, where she spent five years before working as a Legislative Aide for then City Councilmember Alan Lowenthal. She transferred into the City's Planning Bureau where she spent 13 years before being promoted to Manager for the Neighborhood Services Bureau, and in 2011 she was promoted to Deputy Director. She also holds registration as a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is a member of the American Planning Association, a Masters of Arts in Urban Planning from University of California Los Angeles, and a Juris Doctorate from Pacific Coast University.

 

Craig Smith

 

Craig Smith is a professor of communication studies at CSULB, and founder of the Center for First Amendment Studies. In addition to publishing more than 15 books and 60 articles, he served as a full-time speechwriter to President Gerald Ford and Chrysler CEO Lee lacocca, and was a consultant to George H. W. Bush during his 1980 run for the presidency. In 2010, he received the Douglas W. Ehninger Award for lifetime achievement in rhetorical scholarship by the National Communication Association.
