TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file report on travel to Washington, D.C. for the Federal Legislation Committee trip on April 19 - 22, 2016.
DISCUSSION
On April 19, 2016, I traveled to Washington, D.C. in my capacity as Vice Chair of the Federal Legislation Committee.
Also in attendance were staff from the Port of Long Beach, Long Beach Transit and the Long Beach Water Department.
We met with members of our Congressional delegation and with federal officials in order to advocate for the needs of Long Beach on the issues of economic development, education, transportation, and environmental conservation, among others.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact.

Approve recommendation.
