TITLE
Recommendation to adopt resolution declaring results of the General Municipal Election held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, relative to the runoff election in City Council District 2 and City Measures A and B.
DISCUSSION
Attached is the Resolution by the City Attorney pertaining to the results of the City of Long Beach General Municipal Election held on Tuesday, June 7,2016.
As certified by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, the results are as follows:

With passage of Measures A and B, its provisions become operative on July 22,2016, ten (10) days after adoption of the attached resolution by the City Council. The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's Certificate of the Canvass of the Election Returns and Statement of Votes Cast is attached as Exhibit A.
FISCAL IMPACT
The estimated costto the General Fund for placement of MeasuresAand B on the June 7, 2016 ballot is $603,000 and the estimated cost of the coordinated election in Council District 2 is $389,000. (Exhibit B).
