TITLE

DISCUSSION
On February 14,2005, the Board of Examiners, Appeals and Condemnation made the determination that the Two-Story Duplex, located at 1826-1 828 East 1 st Street, is substandard and a public nuisance. (Project # 400279, District 2)
 
On March 10, 2005, the City Clerk received a copy of the protest filed by Natalie Kotsch, dated March 4, 2005.
 
Pursuant to Municipal Code Section 2.93.050 BI, the matter is referred to City Council.  Upon referral, the Council may, in its discretion, either conduct the hearing itself or appoint a hearing officer to conduct the hearing.
 
TIMING CONSIDERATIONS
The property owner has been advised of the determination of the Board that the building is substandard and a public nuisance, and ordered the owner to demolish or rehabilitate the structure as per findings dated February 3, 2005, by April 14, 2005. The Board of
Examiners, Appeals and Condemnation also ordered the owner to maintain the building in a safe, clean and secure manner until the demolition or rehabilitation are completed.
