TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $70,000 for the claim of Teodora Hogan; and authority to pay $125,000 for the claim of Steven Kroesen's surviving spouse, in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Teodora Hogan has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on August 16, 2016, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release by the City and Teodora Hogan, in the amount of $70,000.00.
Steven Kroesen's surviving spouse has made a claim for death benefits allegedly caused by his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on August 16, 2016, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release by the City and Steven Kroesen's surviving spouse in the amount of $125,000.00.
