TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $600, offset by $300 from the Third Council District One-time District Priority Funds and $300 from the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a donation to California Families in Focus for Trans Pride Long Beach Festival 2023; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $600, to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
The Trans Pride Long Beach Festival 2023 is held to provide a space for Trans and Non-Binary members of our community to be themselves, welcome all members of our community at any stage of transitioning, spread awareness, visibility, and representation, to advocate for our rights, and to build strength in unity!
The event is free and open to the public.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide contributions to California Families in Focus to support the Trans Pride Long Beach Festival. The total appropriation increase of $600 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease in appropriation of the Third Council District One-Time District Priority Funds and Fourth Council District One-Time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. This recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.
