TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file report on attendance at the 2006 Joint Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations (FAIR) Steering Committee and Public Finance City Futures Panel, Spring Meeting in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
DISCUSSION
On June 15-1 7, 2006 I attended the National League of Cities Joint Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations (FAIR) Steering Committee and Public Finance City Futures Panel, Spring Meeting in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
As a FAIR committee member, the purpose of our Spring Meeting was to review past accomplishments, set up goals for the upcoming year and review and discuss the ever-changing issue of tax reform. With the city's active involvement as a member of the National League of Cities, and as a member of the FAIR Steering Committee, I feel this meeting was useful and necessary.
