Board of Health and Human Services

Dr. Manorama Gupta (CD 1) - At-Large - Interim Term through June 2020 (to fill Vacancy left by Dr. Jose Carrillo)

Dr. Manorama Gupta is a District 1 resident and she retired from the medical field after 22 years of service. She practice OB/GYN and she is also certified as a cosmetic surgeon. She was the President of the Indian Medical Association of Southern CA and President of the Federation of Indian Associations.

Economic Development Commission

Austin Metoyer (CD 2) - At-Large - Interim Term through June 2020 (to fill Vacancy left by Jacob Flores)

Austin Metoyer is a District 2 resident and currently serves as the Economic Development & Policy Manager for the Downtown Long Beach Alliance. Also, he serves as Treasurer for Long Beach State University Alumni Association and a Board member of the California Downtown Association. Austin completed his BS in International Business at Long Beach State University and is pursuing an Executive Master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Southern California.

Chane! Smith (CD 3) - At-Large -Interim Term through June 2020 (to fill Vacancy left by Giovanna Ferraro)

Chanel Smith is the Policy Director, Domestic Violence for the City of Los Angeles-Mayor's Office. As Policy Director, she sets City strategy priorities for responses to interpersonal violence and prevention of generational trauma and she oversees all LAPD Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence responses. She is a member of the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence, LA County Domestic Violence Council and Alpha Phi Omega (National Co-ed Community Service Fraternity).
