TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to pay the sum of $8,500 in full settlement of lawsuit entitled Bun, et al. v. City of Long Beach, et al., Case No. 05C03351.
DISCUSSION
This lawsuit arises out of a motor vehicle accident in which a City employee, driving a City vehicle in the course and scope of his employment, exited a driveway and crossed in front of the two plaintiffs' vehicle. The plaintiffs sustained injuries and incurred medical expenses.
Through negotiations between counsel, a tentative settlement of $8,500.00 was reached, subject to City Council approval.
The Economic Development and Finance Committee approved the proposed settlement on February 6, 2007.

Approve recommendation.
