DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to enter into contracts with Lean Technology Corporation for design services and KDG Construction Consulting for construction management services for Runway 12-30 Electrical Improvements Project (Project) at the Long Beach Airport (Airport).

Runway 12-30 is the primary Air Carrier runway and the primary runway designated for use during nighttime hours. An airfield lighting investigation performed in early 2020 indicated that the existing runway lighting and associated equipment is detrioariating and needs to be replaced. The Project will include the complete replacement of the runway lighting circuits, including associated constant current regulators (CCRs) and all cable, light fixtures, signs, precision approach path indicators (PAPIs), and other electrical components for Runway 12-30.
