DISCUSSION
Martin Romo has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on May 6, 2014, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of five Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Martin Romo, based upon 1) a 22 percent disability rating.  The City will take credit for any third-party settlement that the applicant may receive, 2) a 20 percent disability rating.  The City reserves its right to seek credit from that third-party settlement, 3) a 1 percent permanent disability rating, 4) a 10 percent permanent disability rating, and 5) a 15 percent permanent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.

SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,
