TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute the Third Amendment to Contract No. 27905 with the law firm of Richards, Watson & Gershon in the matter entitled Shell Chemical Company, et al. vs. County of Los Angeles, et al., Case Nos. CV-00-1917 MRP (MANx); CV-00-1938 MRP (MANx); CV-00-6420 MRP (MANx).
DISCUSSION
The City Council is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute a
Third Amendment to Contract No. 27905 with the law firm of Richards, Watson &
Gershon to increase the total amount of the contract by an additional $60,000.00.
This firm has been authorized to represent the City in the above-captioned litigation.
The increase in the contract is necessary in order that the legal interests of the City
in this litigation are properly served.
