TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute a First Amendment to Agreement No. BPLW14000002 with the Law Offices of Michael M. Peters for legal services related to Civil Service Disciplinary Hearings.
DISCUSSION
On October 2, 2014, the City Attorney's Office issued a purchase order, Agreement No. BPLW14000002 with the Law Offices of Michael M. Peters for legal services related to Civil Service Disciplinary Hearings. We are approaching the threshold allotted under the purchase order. The City Council is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute a First Amendment to Agreement No. BPLW14000002 for an additional $100,000, for a total amount not to exceed $300,000 in order that Michael M. Peters may continue to represent the City's interests in ongoing Civil Service Disciplinary Hearings.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding is available in the General Fund.
