Carina Cristiano Leoni - New Appointment
Carina Cristiano Leoni is a 40 year resident of Long Beach and currently resides in the 5th District. She has over 20 years experience in business and 7 years in public education. Ms. Leoni's teaching career with the Los Alamitos Unified School District includes, but is not limited to, implementing Cognitive Guide Instruction, Reciprocal Teaching, Kagan Learning, and UCI Writing. She also created and developed after school math clinics for students needing additional support and held leadership roles as a representative for Weaver Elementary at the District Operational Committee, Curriculum Steering Committee, and School Site Council. Most of Carina's experience and background is in the restaurant business, ranging from assistant to the VP of Operations for Spectrum Foods Inc., to owner and entrepreneur of Carina an Italian Bistro. Presently, she is the General Manager of Nino's a family owned Italian restaurant located in the 8th District.
