TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $27,000 for the claim of Walter Bortman; $85,000 for the claim of William Jordan; and $29,337.50, less the 28% permanent disability award of $19,337.50, which has been fully paid, for the claim of Jennifer Woolhether, in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Walter Bortman has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on June 20, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release by the City and Walter Bortman.
William Jordan has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. Jennifer Woolhether has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach.
