TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1,000, offset by the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to the Historical Society of Long Beach to support The Crest Circle; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $1,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

The Crest Circle of the Historical Society of Long Beach supports gallery exhibitions, community education programs, and permanent collections. A contribution to the Crest Circle will help bring local history to life in our galleries.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to the Historical Society of Long Beach to support The Crest Circle. The total appropriation increase of $1,000 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease in appropriation of the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund in the Citywide Activities Department. This recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff time beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

DARYL SUPERNAW, COUNCILMAN
