TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $9,500 offset by Second Council District One-Time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department, to provide contributions of:
? $3,000 to Centro CHA for their Leadership Awards Recognition
and Hispanic Heritage Gala Celebration on October 13, 2023;
? $2,500 to the WomenShelter of Long Beach for the Leading with
Love Gala on October 8, 2023;
? $1,200 to the Long Beach Collective Association for their High
Tee golf tournament on October 16, 2023;
? $1,000 to Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Inc.
(Long Beach Pride) for their annual swearing in ceremony on
September 23, 2023;
? $500 to Historical Society of Long Beach for 27th Annual
Historical Cemetery Tour on October 28, 2023;
? $500 to Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) for
their Latina Empowerment Day on October 6, 2023;
? $500 to Pathways to Independence for their 80’s Flashback
Fundraiser on October 7, 2023;
? $300 to Partners of Parks for the ABNA Halloween Festival on
October 12, 2023; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $9,500 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

Centro CHA is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving and advancing the Latino/Hispanic community. Through their various services, initiatives, and programs Centro CHA has played an integral role in the improvement of social and economic development and continues to be a beacon of hope to the community.
