DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute amendments to the contract with FFBH Motors, LLC, dba Frontier Ford, for the purchase of additional equipment and accessories for eight Ford F-250 CNG-fueled Service Trucks.

On October 6, 2015, the City Council adopted Specification No. ITB FS15-094, authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Frontier Ford for the purchase of eight Ford F-250 CNG-fueled Service Trucks. The Fleet Services Bureau is requesting additional contract authority of $79,706, for a total not to exceed amount of $420,296, for the cost of additional equipment and accessories needed such as lumber racks, beacon lights, and arrow boards, which were inadvertently omitted from the contract total. The additional equipment and accessories are needed for the operations of the Parks, Recreation and Marine, Public Works, and the Long Beach Airport Departments. The cost of the vehicles, including the additional equipment, has been collected in the Fleet replacement fund.

This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Arturo D. Sanchez on November 12, 2015 and by Budget Operations Administrator Grace Yoon on November 18, 2015.
