TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1,000, offset by $250 Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds, $250 Fifth Council District One-time District Priority Funds, $250 Third Council District One-time District Priority Funds, and $250 Eighth Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to the McBride High School Criminal Justice & Investigation Booster Club for their October 26, 2022 Community Trunk or Treat Event; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $1,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
On October 26, 2022 the McBride High School Criminal Justice & Investigation Booster Club will host a Community Trunk or Treat event for Long Beach students and their families. Supplemental funding was needed for this community event.
STATEMENT OF URGENCY
As the 2022 McBride Trunk or Treat Event is scheduled for October 26th and funds are sought prior to event date, urgency is requested for this item.
FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager Department to provide a contribution to the McBride High School Criminal Justice & Investigation Booster Club for their annual Trunk or Treat event. The total appropriation increase of $1,000 in the General Fund Group in the City Management Department will be offset by a decrease in appropriation of the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Eighth Council District one-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund in the Citywide Activities Department. No Financial Management review was able to be conducted due to the urgency and time sensitivity of this item.
