Recommendation to receive and file Councilwoman Schipske's attendance at the 2012 Independent Cities Association Summer Seminar, July 12 - 15, 2012 in San Diego, CA.
DISCUSSION
I attended the Independent Cities Association Summer Seminar and Expo at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, Ca from July 12-15,2012 during which I participated in the following workshops and seminars: Public Management Through Advanced Techniques, Regional Emergency Information Sharing, Post Disaster: What Utilities Have Learned, Post Disaster: What Cities Have Learned, and Next Steps: Post Redevelopment Abolishment.
This trip was necessary and beneficial to the City of Long Beach.
The cost of the seminar was: $650.00.
The cost of the lodging and transportation was: $784.35
