Belmont Shore Parking and Business Improvement Area Advisory Commission
Jann Kronick-Gath (CD 3)-Resident-First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020 (to fill Vacancy left by Eric Forsberg)
Jann Kronick-Gath is a life-long Belmont Shore resident. She has a background managing commercial and industrial. properties and has been involved with numerous local organizations as the founder of Friends of Belmont Shore, a resident association that encourages locals to participate in public discussions about the neighborhood, and as a board member with the Alpert Jewish Community Center, among others.
Board of Health and Human Services
Darshi Balasuriya (CD 5)-At Large -First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
A CD 5 resident, Darshi Balasuriya works in the education field and has a background in public health. She is Program Manager/Evaluator at the Orange County Department of Education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master of Public Health in International Health and Development from Tulane University. She is also President of the Maple Village Waldorf School Board of Trustees.
Dr. Nasir Tejani (CD 3)-Physician-First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
Dr. Nasir Tejani is a 3rd District resident and Physician practicing in Long Beach. With his passion for the welfare of children, Nasir went into private practice in pediatrics and has been on the Board of Directors for the Memorial Independent Physician Association and the Southern California Preferred Physicians Medical Group. Nasir also holds an academic post as Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine.
Citizens Advisory Commission on Disabilities
Sherry Diamond (CD 2)-Resident - First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
A resident of the 2nd District, Sherry Diamond is currently the Dean of Academic & Professional Standards at Pacific University School of Law. With a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and a Master of Arts in Counseling & Theater Arts, Sherry spent more than 30 years as a drama therapist and later as Executive Director for nonprofit organizations serving adults with disabilities. She has also served on many local and national boards, including the Arts Council for Long Beach.
Connie Gutierrez (CD 6) -Agency Representative - First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
Connie Gutierrez is a CD 6 resident and local college administrator at Compton College, where she is the Interpreting and Instructional Services Supervisor. She has more than fifteen years of experience as a professional ASL Interpreter and has also worked with the LA County Sheriff Department to ensure ADA compliance. Connie is committed to ensuring a just, equitable and inclusive community for all people.
Cultural Heritage Commission
Dr. Lourdes Ramos (CD 1)- First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
Dr. Lourdes Ramos is a resident of CD 1 and currently serves as the President and CEO of the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA). She has more than two decades of experience working with museums in Puerto Rico and Spain and has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations, commissions and boards. She received a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona.
Homeless Services Advisory Committee
Eboney Pearson - CD 2 Representative - First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
Eboney Pearson is a 2nd District resident and has been actively involved as a volunteer for several Councilmember offices and political organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Family Science from CSU Fresno and received Certificates in Leadership from CSULB and the Leadership Long Beach Institute. She is a firm believer in advancing resources that support social justice and help resolve issues facing our community members.
Susan Redfield (CD 7)-At Large- First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
Susan Redfield is a recently retired attorney and social worker who lives in the 7th District. She has many years of experience working as a nonprofit executive and senior manager in fields related to education, healthcare, environment and culture. Her most recent post was as a Consultant to Mental Health America, Los Angeles. She has served on the Board of Governors for LBCC and has been a student mentor with the Assistance League of Long Beach for nearly 20 years.
Marine Advisory Commission
Theresa Marino (CD 2)-First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
Theresa Marino is a CD 2 resident and retiree who spent more than 25 years with the City of Long Beach's Department of Health & Human Services. She currently volunteers in the community on nonprofit boards for Long Beach Cares, LBCC Senior Studies and CSULB Osher Lifelong Leaming Institute. Theresa is also an active member of the Long Beach Navy Yacht Club, where she previously served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for several years.
Elizabeth Lambe (CD 3) - First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
A 3rd District resident, Elizabeth Lambe is a professional advocate for clean water with many years of experience working with various local and statewide conservation campaigns. She has served as Executive Director of the Los Cerritos Wetlands Land Trust since 2008 and previously worked as Regional Representative and Manager for the National Sierra Club. Elizabeth has received several accolades for her environmental stewardship and community engagement.
Camille Daniels (CD 3)- First Term effective July 2018 through June 2020
Camille Daniels is an avid boater and active community member who lives in CD 3. She has served on various committees for the Congressional Cup and remains passionate about enhancing and growing Long Beach's world-class yachting traditions. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Long Beach Yacht Club from 2006-2009 and 2011-2014 and will soon become the Club's first woman Commodore.
