Board of Health and Human Services New Appointment

 

Miles McNeeley

 

Miles is District 2 resident and an active member of our community. He is the Elder Justice Program Manager at Wise and Healthy Aging. Miles is the former Chair of the Human Relations Commission and former board member of the Long Beach Grocery Cooperative. He is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach where he received his Master of Social Work and his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government.

 

Citizens' Advisory Commission on Disabilities New Appointment

 

Stephen Adams

 

Stephen is the Facilities and Security Manager at the Long Beach Children's Clinic. He has been a Long Beach resident for more than 45 years and is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). Stephen is one of the ASL interpreters for healthcare patients in Long Beach at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and St. Mary Medical Center.

 

Economic Development Commission New Appointment

 

John Thomas

 

John is a District 2 resident and has been a Long Beach resident since 1990. He is active in many community organizations, serving on the boards of the Historical Society of Long Beach, Long Beach Heritage, and the Bluff Heights Neighborhood Association. He is a passionate collector of art deco, a period enthusiast and is co-author of Long Beach Art Deco. John has owned and operated two small businesses in Long Beach for more than 10 years.

 

Human Relations Commission New Appointment

 

Alyssa Gutierrez

 

Alyssa is a District 2 resident and currently works as a Program Officer for First 5 LA, working to elevate policy priorities that impact children and families. She recently served as Founding Executive Director of the Economic and Policy Impact Center (EPIC), where she developed leadership development programs and engaged in policy advocacy. Additionally, Alyssa holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master of Social Work, both from California State University, Long Beach, and she is a proud mother of 3.

 

Long Beach Community Investment Company New Appointment

 

Hilda Marella Delgado

 

Hilda is a District 8 resident and currently serves as District Director for Senator Lena Gonzalez. She has more than 10 years of experience working with corporate, not-for-profit, and government organizations on strategic communications and public relations. Hilda is a recipient of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) PRism Award and was recognized by the National Association of Hispanic Publications.

 

Marine Advisory Commission New Appointment

 

Nathaniel Brown III

 

Nathaniel is a District 3 and is the owner ofNSB3 Law, a law firm that specializes in Business Strategy & Litigation, Civil Litigation, Landlord-Tenant Law, and Fair Debt Violations. He is a graduate of Leadership Long Beach and is member of United Cambodian Community, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and the American Civil Liberties Union.

 

Senior Citizen Advisory Commission New Appointment

 

Viola Sellers

 

Viola is a District 2 resident and former City of Long Beach employee. Viola retired after 20 years of service from the City of Long Beach. She is a volunteer member of the Retired Public Employees Association, Long Beach Memorial Hospital, Miller Children's Hospital, and the IAMAW-AFLCIO.
