Citizens Advisory Commission on Disabilities
Jamone Pili
Jamone is an operations administrator and also works as a Samoan language instructor. He has experience as a tutor, including for veterans, and as worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Jamone has an Associate's Degree in Political Science from Salt Lake City Community College and attended the nursing program at Cerritos College.
Senior Citizens Advisory Commission
Paula Prager
Paula is a resident of senior housing and has been active as an advocate for the rights of seniors and quality of life issues. She retired from sales after 25 years, serves as a fundraiser for Long Beach schools, and works as an artist, making jewelry and painting. Paula attended Temple University, Cal State Long Beach, Pasadena City College, and Long Beach City College.
Robert Finney
Robert is retired after serving 30 years as an officer in the United States Navy and Naval Reserve and a 50 year career in higher education, including more than 30 years as Cal State Long Beach where he taught Film and Electronic Arts. Robert continues to work as a musician and band leader. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication Theory and Research and a Masters in Communication and Applied Psychology from Ohio State University.
Technology and Innovation Commission
Roger Howard
Roger is the former Chief Technology Officer of CritiquelT, and helped found and host the weekly Code and Coffee meetup, through which he mentored dozens of young local technologists and provided support to their projects and businesses. He is a long-time advocate of open data policies and previously worked at the Getty as a Senior Software Architect. Roger was born and raised in Long Beach.
Lisa Mae Brunson
Lisa is the Founder and CEO of the Wonder Women Tech Foundation, and has created hackathons, a technology conference, and pioneering STEAM workshops for adults, youths, seniors, and people with disabilities. She serves on the Boards of InnovateLA, the California Women's Conference, and the Alcoholism Center for Women. She won the 2015 Common Sense "Great for Families" Award for the documentary "Kindness is Contagious".
Sustainable City Commission
Carla Dillon
Carla has extensive nonprofit experience, and has worked in the public sector for more than 20 years as a civil engineer, engineering supervisor, and consultant. She holds a Doctorate in Public Administration and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering. She is a certified Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering, as well as a certified Disaster Service Volunteer, Water Treatment Operator, and Water Distribution Operator. Carla has published extensively in the fields of water treatment, waste management, and environmental engineering.
Long Beach Housing Authority
Thomas Hudson
Thomas is a long-time resident of Long Beach who worked in publishing for 35 years. He has extensive experience working with the public and interacting with large companies in the fashion and footwear industries.
