TITLE
Recommendation to receive and confirm Mayor's designation of argument writers for City Measures submitted to voters for the General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
DISCUSSION
Per Municipal Code section 1.24.020, I am submitting my designations for argument writers for the ballot measures listed below.
The original application deadline for argument writers was August 2, 2012 by 4:30 p.m. Due to a City Attorney's office error, there was an agreement between the City Attorney's office and the attorney representing both measures and the deadline was extended to the end of business day Tuesday, August 7, 2012 as a courtesy. Applications submitted by Reverend Gary Commins, Vice Mayor Robert Garcia, Councilmember Suja Lowenthal, Hilda Ortiz, and Steven Sarinana were received past the original deadline.
