TITLE

Recommendation to request that City Council receive and approve changes to departments and commissions Conflict of Interest Codes filed, in compliance with State law.

 

DISCUSSION

The Political Reform Act requires the City to notify all departments and advisory bodies commissions, and committees that have previously adopted conflict of interest codes Government Code Section 87306.5, effective 1990, requires that each local government aqenc conduct a review of its conflict of interest codes every other year. If any amendments an necessary, the proposed amendment(s) should be submitted to the City Council no later thar October 1, 2016. Beginning in August, all departments were advised of the review requiremen and deadline date. As of the due date, the following departments/commissions have submitter amended Schedules "A" or "B", or have determined that no amendments are necessary:
