TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $2,258 offset by the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to Partners of Parks for the College Estates Park Neighborhood Movie Night; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $2,258 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
College Estates Park was scheduled to have a Summer movie event through Parks, Recreation & Marine, but due to inclined weather, the event was cancelled. Partners of Parks is working with the College Estates Park neighborhood to host a free and public Neighborhood Movie Night. This event is scheduled for October 27th from 5pm-7pm. A contribution to Partners of Parks will provide supplemental funding for final expenses. This event has been organized to promote neighborhood relationships and community partnerships that can further increase park programming and use. As College Estates Park was one of two parks in District 4 which were excluded from Summer movies, approval of this recommendation is requested.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to Partners of Parks for the College Estates Park Neighborhood Movie Night. The total appropriation increase of $2,258 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation from the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. The recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the normal budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.
